Following the advice of the United Nations Secretary-General in response to Covid-19, staff of the Dag Hammarskjöld Library will be telecommuting until further notice.

The United Nations, however, remains open for business, as so does the Dag Hammarskjöld Library. Digital services will now be offered remotely to our clients as follows.

For UN Secretariat Staff and Delegates

We have published the following FAQs to provide answers to questions you may have about access to Library resources:

Your question still unanswered? Would you like to extend loan period for books on loan or request assistance for your research?  Please send an email to: library-ny@un.org  or contact us through the online form.

We regret we will not have access to the Library’s print collections, so we will suspend lending of print material until further notice.  For inter library loan requests, we will renew all current loans but no new requests will be processed.

For external researchers, students and the general public

Please contact us through our online form.
